Family Legacy

My Grandmother and Grandfather in 1920’s Boston. They look pretty happy here at the beginning of their life together, don’t you think?

I can only say that now I wish I knew more about them at this time in their lives. I only knew them (and not well) when I was a kid. Now that I’m an adult I can imagine something about what their lives must have been like, and I wonder what they thought about the incredible changes going on around them. The depression, the beginning of the age of flight, sound movies, WWI and WWII, television…

What were their dreams?

What did they think about what was happening in the world during this eventful period in history when this picture was taken, the roaring ’20s?

Don’t leave your descendants guessing. Leave more than just photos and disconnected video clips behind for your descendants, leave your stories for future generations. Join me in a journey through a step by step guide on how to create a family tradition of saving your stories not only for your children, but generations to come. Add to and organize for survival what has already been saved, or if like me the past is mostly lost, start weaving a quilt of memories that will travel through time to your decendants far into the future.

Toastmasters

While I’m a recent member of Toastmasters here in Hilton Head Island, I have the privilege of being on the board of directors as Vice President of public relations. I’ll be exploring ways to use social media to promote public awareness of what we have to offer at this club, and how it can completely change your life. If becoming more outgoing and improving your ability to present your ideas to others is of importance to you please take a look at what I’ve put together here for you. (coming soon, currently under construction…) In the meantime here’s a link to my Toastmasters Club here in Hilton Head where you can see what we’re up to. Go to “FastTrackers” Hilton Head Toastmaster’s Club

Writing

This is where I’ll post items that I find that have proven helpful in pursuing my hobby of creative writing in the interest of helping others on the same path. I’ll also be posting some ongoing work where you can let me know what you think and make suggestions. (coming soon, currently under construction…)
